VIRTUAL WARM-UP CLASS
Technique Class Monday and Thursday 9:30-10:00 Am EST
Add structure to your life and practice routine! 15 minute all level warm ups and then 15 minutes of technique derived from current Music-Minus-One play along pieces. After doing the warm-ups together, you will be motivated and inspired to practice on your own. Practicing at the same time every day establishes a routine that eliminates the anxiety of repeatedly trying to find a time and guilt of not getting to it. These days especially call for some grounding routines. Long tones, finger placement, low and high note exercises, articulation and a new surprise every day. Warm ups are appropriate for all levels with special challenges for more advanced players. (warm-up videos at the bottom of this page)

TUESDAY
The Green Leaves Ensemble 6:00-7:30
Emphasis will be on preparing for performances. Our repertoire extends from the Middle Ages through to contemporary music. We will also be playing on a set of renaissance instruments with historical fingerings. Audition only. WEDNESDAY
Madrigal Feast 12:30-2:00
We will play satisfying quartets of English Madrigals, Baroque arrangements and seasonal music. Cut time and meter changes will be introduced through renaissance music. A good ensemble to cut your teeth on and a perfect opportunity to get comfortable switching fingerings. |
